fresh off of a course this weekend ??1️⃣ this is not a wrestling move ?♀️ - it is the dix-hallpike test used in the assessment of vestibular disorders. vertigo is a specific type of dizziness defined as the illusion of movement occurring in the environment ?bppv is a common cause of vertigo and this test can help with diagnosis of this condition. accurately diagnosing the right cause of dizziness can greatly improve the success of treatment using maneuvers such as the epley and bbq roll which are highly effective when chosen appropriately. come have a chat with one of our therapists if you think this sounds like you! 2️⃣ brock string - this is commonly used during treatment of convergence insufficiency which is frequent after brain injury, to develop skills of convergence (eyes pointing inwards to bring an object into focus) ? having trouble with reading after having a concussion? physiotherapists can help to assess your eye motor movements and see if this is the right exercise for you! 3️⃣ visual motion sensitivity test - this is part of the assessment of your eye motor movements that your physiotherapist may assess for after you've had a concussion. post trauma vision problems can occur after a brain injury and signs & symptoms may include: eyes not working together, double vision, blurred vision, light sensitivity, concentration difficulties, reading problems, and poor spatial awareness. thanks @mendphysioreese + @jennervince for ? and @mendphysiocandice for the ?at the end!
