Merrell Photo Comp finalist, David Ashley started taking photos so that he could paint the landscapes and sell his artworks at the Fremantle Markets in Perth. Having turned his attention to photography, he captured this shot at one of his favourite spots along the South Coast of WA, Yallingup. This spot on the rocks, is a place that transforms depending on the weather, and adds a degree of risk, which can be seen in the dramatic scene of this photograph.
