A beautiful shot of the SS Ayrfield.
Nicknamed 'The Floating Forest', it is one of many decommissioned ships in the Homebush Bay, just west of Sydney. Built in the UK in 1911, the the SS Ayrfield was used to transport supplies to American troops stationed in the Pacific region during World War II.
Rich with Australian history, the Parramatta River Walk from Gladesville Bridge to Ryde Bridge takes in many beautiful vantage points along the water, including sights of the of the SS Ayrfield. Definitely worth exploring! 📸 @adventureblokes #MerrellAU
