Maria Gangemi, our namesake, chief merchant, and favorite shoe aficionado, shares the inspiration for our newest sandal, the Schema:
"In the Capri/Positano region, these sandals are everywhere. Jackie O used to wear this style sandal vacationing in Capri! We wanted to keep it simple—to make a minimal yet sophisticated design for an easy, go-to sandal. So we used the most minimal hardware to keep the thin, durable straps in place. We made the backstrap movable, which allows you to adjust the tightness by moving it up or down along the middle strap. They’re all genuine leather, we wanted to make the cuoio [leather] sole pop, so we used contrasting straps in gold, black, white, and blue pearl. I love them with a flowy summer dress, it’s a classically Positano look."
