While I love authentic New York restaurants—a great burger, hearty slice of pizza—it is refreshing to find locations that transport you somewhere else through the food and atmosphere. Souvlaki in the Lower East Side sticks out, in a good way. You can't help but feel like you are far, far away. —@blaireadiebee
