Happy International Women's Day!
We asked 4 strong and sophisticated women how they define strength and what gives them power.
@mintyce feels empowered by,
‘’Waking up before sunrise to journal, meditate, say affirmations and move my body. Moving in alignment with the sun is so beneficial for me. Also self-care practices, taking baths, sticking to my skin care routines and not drinking alcohol. Last but definitely not least, eating and moving my body in alignment with where I am in my personal cycle. Something I wish I learned earlier because our hormones on the day to day are so different from men’s so I feel it is important to honor that.’’
@sylviaroberts_pilates defines strength as,
‘’To me the most important thing has always been to show up for myself so I can do the same for others.
Creating consistency with short workouts I enjoy (and can integrate into my day) is what keeps me feeling strong!"
@alohaspreader defines strength as,
"A self-aware woman is a strong woman. She’s someone who perceives pain, disappointment, setbacks, challenges as experiences that sharpen her edge of aptitude, emotional intelligence, and gratitude. She defies societal expectations and is a master architect of her life. She’s multi-dimensional. She isn’t one thing. She’s everything. She lives all out, plays hard, rests hard, loves hard. She does hard things on purpose because she knows that it’s the only path to living fully.’’
@silkenkelly defines strength as,
‘’I define strength as the ability to stay confident and true to yourself. There are so many opinions and angles coming at us, where it can be difficult to focus on what we ourselves require to be happy in our day to day lives. Strength absolutely does come from within, starting with mindset.’’
