Who Made Your Clothes? With @mienstudios, the L.A.-based sewing house I work with is women-owned and they operate a business that provides a bright and clean work space for their workers with fair pay, regular hours and breaks. This is one of the two owners, Dina, who’s also my master seamstress. She sews all of my design samples and we work together closely to make sure each clothing piece @mienstudios offers is sewn with care. Not just a successful business owner, she’s also a mother and grandmother to adorable grandkids. Her sewing team is small, just four people, but they are skillful, knowledgeable in their craft, and they’ve been on her team since I’ve been working with Dina when I started the collection. Dina and I are growing our businesses together, supporting our own families, and when you make a purchase, you’re directly supporting not just us, but also the workers on Dina’s team. Being made in L.A. and manufacturing responsibility is not just a slogan for us. They matter - people matter, how your clothes are made and knowing who makes it really makes a difference. #whomadeyourclothes xxLisa 〰️ Photos by @rebekkahcefai . . . . #ethicalfashion #ethicallymade #sustainablefashion #shopsmall #shoplocal #capsulewardrobe #slowfashion #fashionrevolution #fashionrevolutionweek #fashionrev
