I understand that I will never understand but I will always stand with you. .
I have always viewed my business’s platform as a place for you to escape to and get lost in with small golden pleasures, but today and the days to come - we will not be sharing jewelry on this feed. Today I want to speak up and let our community know that we stand in solidarity with you and those speaking out against racial injustice in our country. .
I recognize that I have a platform and will not be silent. I owe it to our community and the Mod + Jo family. I vow to educate myself to become a better ally and will be taking the necessary steps to learn (and unlearn) the real meaning behind my white privilege. I vow to keep our team workspace an open and safe space to have the hard, uncomfortable and vulnerable conversations. I vow that I will take a break from my usual outlets to begin focusing on my further education through research, publications and podcasts to be better for you. I will take daily steps to do better for you. I have signed, I have donated and will continue to help where I can.
