“Salty See was born out of my love for the ocean and underwater world. It all began when I was a little girl swimming around underwater with my eyes open, imagining I lived underwater, submerged amongst sea gardens, taking in the light dancing and rolling with the waves as I swam underneath. My creative and adventurous spirit became obsessed with anything to do with the ocean. Eventually I began taking my camera with me to capture what I saw, as it was too beautiful to ignore.

It was when I met Sarah Lee and Ming Nomchong, two photographers I admire, I was inspired to give it a go. Friends began asking me to take photos of them as we played amongst the waves. I knew I was on to something when I would look back at the images and feel that same feeling as when I was a little girl swimming underwater, immersed in the world I imagined I lived in.

For me, my life revolves around the ocean, from my travels to day to day life. I started my underwater photography business in Sydney, Australia 2 years ago. In May this year, I decided to take it to Mexico, a place I’ve dreamed of living since I was 19. Now 32, I live a life of surfing, practising Spanish, photographing in the ocean - living my dreams.
