For as long as I can remember I was always looking forward to the summer so I could jump into the sea. I went scuba diving in Thailand for the first time and I remember thinking, how come no one had told me anything about the marvellous things in there! It was like a spell, the sea captivated me and I could never ignore it again. From that moment on, the sea has been my compass, I travel to find it or to find myself. Exploring it has turned to be what I enjoy the most. Connecting with sea animals made me want to know a bit more about this unknown underwater world of which we only know a 2% of. The ocean has given me great experiences: swimming with whale sharks, the biggest fish in the ocean; my first encounter with a nurse shark, which made me feel great respect and curiosity. Making eye contact with a giant manta ray as well as surfing next to the sea turtles; besides turning off my torch during a night dive and staying in the darkness, feeling the silence of the ocean, or the first time I saw a wreck. I could go on forever. The sea has not only given me friends from all over the world but also access to places I could only have known by being under the water. It has helped me free myself from many burdens I felt as a woman. The sea taught me to accept myself and to love my most natural and genuine self. Thanks to the sea I can love my tangled hair and be in good terms with my body. I was able to realize that I am capable of doing many things in the same way a man can, I could trust myself to take people to the bottom of the sea for the first time, etc. ✨ This parallel universe, which turned out to be my source of energy, became my purpose in life: take care of it and make it known through my articles and all my adventures in it. While exploring the ocean I’m finding "the way to my heart". Sometimes I wonder how could it be possible that we don´t realize the damage we are causing to it but then I remember that most of the people don´t even know it. So here is my mission: to make the ocean be known so we all can be aware of it and take care of it✨ .
