"I remember as an older mum in the eighties, feeling totally helpless. Was it okay to love my career and my 3 kids? Sadly, Everything back then said "bad mum". Lucky I'm a rebel. It didn't change my situation being thrown into super mum, but it did say to me 'go out and learn how to be the best mum you can be'. I read every book and magazine, did every parenting course, 3 kids meditating with me to get some peace after work... what fabulous memories. I still feel I stumbled through it, but somehow, they are perfect. Now it's time for jumping with my 3 year old grand daughter on her trampoline. "Take your shoes off nanny" she says.
