About a year ago, my husband repainted our old 1980s yellow-y oak cabinets....only to discover with the final paint stroke that the upper cabinets were pulling off the wall in multiple places. 😬 We took it as a sign from above that it was time for a whole new kitchen. This was the first time we’d really spent substantial money on a home renovation project. And honestly, guys, it gave me heart palpitations about every five minutes. That said, I am in LOVE with the “after.” 😍 Don’t get me wrong, I love a good DIY and my usual “get the look for less” decorating adventures — that’s how I usually approach decorating our home, and I think that certain constraints force you to get more creative, which can be really rewarding when all is said and done. But once in a while it’s pretty dang exciting to get to create exactly what you want (within reason). ❤️ Have you done any major renovations? If so, what space(s) did you upgrade and why?
