When we launched a fundraiser for Libby Hankins a few weeks ago, we knew that her situation was extremely difficult and filled with uncertainties. Libby had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of 2, and fought hard against her disease ever since. After complications resulting from a double lung transplant, now, at age 23, she was fighting for her life. A few days after the campaign launched, we learned the tragic news that Libby's battle with CF had come to an end. ·
While we didn’t know Libby personally, we could see what an amazing person she was through the outpouring of love from friends, family members, and complete strangers, who have been touched by her positivity, kindness, and resilience. You can tell from this photo that Libby was able to smile and remain optimistic in any circumstance.

We’ve waited to tell you about Libby’s fundraiser because, well, this isn’t quite like our other campaigns. It’s by the request of Libby’s sister that we share this with you now, in hopes that you would consider supporting Libby’s parents and family. All funds raised over the final 10 days of this campaign will help cover expenses related to Libby’s lengthy hospital stay. Anything extra will be donated toward a scholarship being set up in Libby’s memory. ·
