Liz was worried that her story was too long. To that we say, let’s hear it sister! Read about her journey below, and then head over to mudlove.com/custom where you can create a word to represent your upcoming year.⠀ ·⠀ "My word for 2017 is ‘gain', which is a weird word when you stare at it for a while, and an ironic one considering what it represents. I've had health issues for forever, and a part of this is my weight (oh geez, here we go)… And yes, that's a common New Year's resolution, but this is more than an unused gym membership. ⠀ ·⠀ This has been in the making for a few months now with my doctor, to figure out what the heck is going on with my insides, and why this journey of weight loss and some other things has been so stubborn. This year I'm aiming to kick my health goals in the face. It's an expensive, six-month journey that a doctor and I are venturing on together. There’s a lot that goes into it. ⠀ ·⠀ I don't have a number at the end of my journey; I just want my body to work better, because who doesn't? It's both scary because it's a lot of denying myself in order to gain something greater in the end — even if it's just simply knowledge — but I think when people are asked to stop one action, it's easy to just stop at seeing what you're denied. So for me, even though part of my goal is to lose weight, I'm trying to see what I gain instead.” -Liz, Halyard Team Leader #mymudlove
