#WaterWednesday @Water_for_Good’s director of communications, @jayhocking, is walking across the country for the @5_gallon_challenge! In the Central African Republic, large containers called jerry cans are often used for hauling water. When there aren’t any pumps or tap stands nearby, valuable hours are wasted walking long distances to collect one of life’s most important resources. · Jay turned his jug into a 40-pound backpack to replicate the weight of 5 gallons of water. (Now imagine carrying that on your head like the incredible women of the C.A.R.!) As Jay raises more money for Water for Good, he’ll have to walk across more states, raising awareness wherever he goes. As he completes his walk, he’ll help #endthewalk for water on the other side of the world. Follow the link in our profile to track his progress and support the campaign!
