On this #InternationalWomensDay, we want to share a story from our friends at @humanityandhope. If you purchased a “hope” band for the #GetHopeGiveHope campaign, you’re helping to create jobs and impact the lives of Honduran women of all ages.
Greysi was orphaned as a young girl, and now lives with her grandmother in the rural village of Remolino. When Humanity & Hope started a program to encourage education, she wanted to be involved. Although she is 17 years old, having taken years off since primary school, Greysi is not discouraged!
H&H will pay half of the tuition if parents commit to the other half, while encouraging excellence on the part of their children. Since Greysi's parents aren't here to support her, she volunteered to work on Saturdays and pay her own way. H&H accepted her offer with open arms! Greysi is now earning this accomplishment with inspirational dedication and hard work.
