People love MudLOVE, the story behind you, and the items you sell. People also loved the word I chose, 'journey'. After prayer, this is the word He put on my heart to choose. Not only did it represent my journey to Haiti, but my spiritual journey as well. A lot of people commented that 'journey' also represented their journey in life or spiritual journey as well.
I asked $8 minimum donation per band. Some people donated $8 and others donated misc. amounts all the way up to $150+ or whatever they felt led to give. For each person that donated for a band, I kindly asked them to wear them, especially during the week of my trip, but in general, to wear the band as a reminder to pray for the team I traveled with and for all that He had planned for us. People thought that was so neat when I kindly asked that. I also challenged all of the donors to post pics of the band with them wearing it or if they kept it in a place where they would always see and remember to pray. That pretty much sums up my success with my fundraising experience!"
