Emily Hinchcliff (@el_fotomat) from Philadelphia captured our #BoomerangOfTheWeek during her annual two-week trip to Guatemala. “I spend time each February photographing and thawing out from winter at different villages on the perimeter of Lake Atitlán,” she says. “What keeps calling me back are the fishermen’s wooden canoes quietly cutting through the early morning fog atop the surface of Lake Atitlán, the warm light pouring through the tropical trees as I walk down the path to breakfast, the night blooming jasmine floating on the evening air and the genuine smiles of the kindhearted people I meet.”
