Fox NFL Kickoff host Charissa Thompson’s (@charissajthompson) first foray into sports broadcasting came when she was 11 years old. “I taped a tennis ball to a paper towel roll and used it as a microphone,” says the Seattle native. “I loved watching sports as a kid and just knew it was what I wanted to do.” Charissa’s earliest memories of watching football include big barbecues, complete with hot dogs, sitting next to her dad. “Every Sunday, it unifies people — sports do that. They bring people together,” explains Charissa. “The Super Bowl, which attracts celebrities and brings the biggest stars to perform or attend, is the perfect stage for ‘who’s who’ in sports and entertainment.” ?
