“When you look a lion in the eyes, you can see why they’re king of the jungle,” says 22-year-old photographer Axel Primmer (@axelprimmerphotography), who works as a field guide in Nambiti Private Game Reserve in Ladysmith, South Africa. “We’re trying to teach people that if you’re going to keep shooting animals, we’re going to have none left.” On the private reserve where he works — which has a strict no-hunting policy — Axel captured this photo. “These two males were walking straight towards my vehicle, and they had that determination,” he says. #WorldLionDay ?
