Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPilluminate The goal this weekend is to make videos of interesting sources of light at night. Here’s how to get started: Attend a fireworks show, concert or another event with large displays of moving or colorful lights. Try turning off your flash when you shoot to highlight the contrast between light and dark areas in your videos. Try experimenting with a portable light source — like a sparkler, glow stick or flashlight — to create an interesting pattern for your video by moving the lights around in your frame. Rather than shooting video of your light sources directly, try also looking around for subjects or areas the light is hitting in a striking way, like the flickering glow of a campfire on a friend’s face. PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPilluminate hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
