A stranger. An open space. The right moment. These are the ingredients of José Toro’s (@josetoro.0) street portraits. To capture the essence of pedestrians, José, an art professor in Seville, Spain, leaves his house with the firm purpose of taking photographs. “I need to be very focused when I’m capturing images,” he says. “I let myself flow into what’s in front of my eyes.” His pictures are always taken spontaneously, without talking to his subject but treating them with respect. “Taking photos is like a dance,” José says. “I’m dancing among the people until I see someone at the right place.” Discover more stories from the Spanish-speaking community on @instagrames.
