Our third featured photo from The Week on Instagram by Lexey Swall (@lexey) shows a controlled fire for land management outside of Merna, Nebraska. Even though a crew of workers were monitoring the fire, “the intensity of fire and smoke changes quickly in these situations,” Lexey explains. “This was a moment when the intensity was high, fueled by fresh brush.”
