“I do a lot of work in conflict zones, but I am not a frontline photographer,” Loulou d’Aki (@dakiloulou) says. Instead, you might call her a visual poet. She has called more than a dozen countries home — including Egypt, Iran, Japan and most recently, Greece — but regardless of her location, Loulou maintains a picture diary of her daily encounters. “More often than not, I find ideas or pictures where and when I least expect it,” the Swedish photojournalist says. “I tend to find little details of big importance.” Photo by @dakiloulou
