Ivor Prickett (@ivorprickett) is a documentary photographer with a particular interest in people displaced by conflict. For three years, he has focused on the Syrian refugees living throughout the Middle East and Turkey, which currently number 4 million. Now, Ivor has traveled to Greece.
He says: “The story has shifted in focus as many refugees are giving up hope of being able to go home and are making the journey to Europe in search of a better life. I arrived on the northern coast of Lesvos where many of the thousands of people arriving each day are landing. As you snake down through the idyllic landscape towards the coast, the procession of displaced souls begins. It is a surreal scene to witness on the shores of Europe.”
