“People’s sincere expectations, worries, happiness and hopes can be seen in the street of any city,” explains Sinan Doğrul (@sinandogrul), a literature teacher whose photos capture the populace of Antakya, Turkey amidst the backdrop of the ancient cityscape. “Streets reflect the mood of what is really happening.” To capture the moment takes patience, Sinan says. But with practice, more moments will reveal themselves. “You need to spend time on the street to improve. Hone your perception by learning about buildings, people, nature.” “Photography is a never-ending path,” says Sinan. “When you realize the way you see and experience things changes over time, your photography changes for the better.” To see more moments from the ancient streets of Antakya, follow @sinandogrul.
