“I love that there are many places in Seoul where there’s juxtaposed architecture from different time periods—modern skyscrapers placed just behind a traditional folk village or a temple, for example,” says Instagrammer Ken Lee (@seoul_stateofmind) from Gwangju, South Korea in this edition of #LocalLens. When shooting photos around Seoul, Ken looks for elements of contrast that reside in the city. The futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza building and the traditional Ihwa Mural Village are two of his favorite places to shoot; both locations illustrate the city’s new and old settings. Haneul Park's rich natural landscape that exists inside the country's busiest city is another spot he enjoys exploring.
