“The River Nile is the soul of Egypt and Egyptians,” says Cairo Instagrammer Ahmed Farouk (@farouk_design) for this month’s edition of #LocalLens. “It represents peace of mind, romance, beauty, history, our good nature—and it is the only river here.” Ahmed captures scenes on the waters of the Nile as well as the nearby Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea. “Water can reflect simplicity, as well as power and fun, and so many other things just like human moods.
