Happy #ArtThursday, Instagram! This week we're looking at Richard Serra's large-scale metal sculptures. Usually designed specifically for the space they will inhabit, his multi-ton structures often take the shape of huge steel ribbons bent into various shapes. The installations are usually large enough to walk through, and the proportions are meant to challenge and disorient viewers' perception perception of size and scale.
