Finally found the perfect cowboy boots, my first ever. Which should be a sin for being Texas born and raised, but I thought I was too cool for school back then lol. Now when I put them on, I feel reminded of my Granddad who wore the same boots for years, getting them resoled over and over. I happened to be wearing my Grandnan's emerald ring when I found them so maybe she was guiding me.
I love how much story and connection can be found in the things we wear. How with a lot of love and care, those garments and tokens can be passed on so the journey continues. They have the power to bring back the memory of a loved one, inspire confidence, or transform your mood.
The older I get the more I understand that value is not just a dollar amount. It's how the goods you choose to adorn yourself with make you feel and the story that you create in them.
