Little life update … this month I said goodbye to my beautiful studio space that I was so lucky to share with @tahbags___.
I had so many ideas and goals for this space. I wanted to create more editorial work, host events and private shopping, and mostly to find consistency and balance with my shop and freelance work. I was able to make some of the goals come true and am so thankful for Angie of TAH for her support and for all the folks I was able to share the space with. We made some magic and had fun while it lasted!
I am proud of myself for taking the chance and building something beautiful that was just mine. I’ve always wanted my own store and still do, but sometimes you have to pivot, so we’re pivoting (imagining Ross yelling PIVOT) lol. With my partner being laid off a few months ago it's just not the time for added expenses. So it's back to being scrappy at my house and utilizing the showroom a lot more.
An extra extra plus, I get to enlist the help of @monsieur_patay, who is a master project manager, to help me whip this lil business into shape. He’s helping me with budgets, planning, and all things that I usually ignore as I head to the thrifts :) He’s already helped so much and it's giving me much needed confidence as we navigate through these changes.
Here are some pics of some of my favorite moments at the studio ... and lastly, the new HQ aka my dining room.
Love to you all 💓 Nik
