Today marks the day when Israel starts its annexation of Palestinian territory. Over 30% of the West Bank will be annexed into Israel, cementing the Apartheid system that makes Palestinians prisoners in their own land. This is a devastating day for Palestinians as their dream of self-determination suffers a major blow. The plan is simple: steal more land, cement apartheid, and expand settler-colonialism.⠀

While the situation seems bleak, our message from everyone at Native Threads is one of resistance and hope. Resistance (pictured above) by Palestinians and their allies because anything less is to forfeit freedom. Hope because history shows us that Crusader States established by Europeans in the Middle East (which is what Israel is) take time to liberate. The Kingdom of Jerusalem lasted nearly 100 years before Palestine was liberated by Saladin Ayyub while the Principality of Antioch lasted 200 years before liberation by Egypt. Stay strong.
