🎂 We turn four today.
Last year on our birthday we made a pledge to reduce (and eventually eliminate) plastic use in our e-commerce orders. We've already cut plastic use by 85% and we continue to work on that promise. We launched four years ago on Mahashivratri, and today, on our fourth birthday we're taking a new birthday pledge: to plant more trees. 🌳 We're kicking it off by planting 1000 trees at the Singhbum Elephant Reserve in Jharkhand in partnership with @growtrees_global
The West Singhbum District in Jharkhand has seen almost 8,000 hectares of green cover morph into agricultural land, the jagged landscape of a heavily mined region, and human settlements. The Grow Trees Foundation, with their mission of doing social good by planting trees, aims to address a host of problems from unemployment and climate change to depleting forests and stormwater runoff and we’re delighted to work with them.
