We love our stores, and this week we’re popping in at each of our physical locations, every one special in its own way. Our store in Mumbai’s Kala Ghoda was our first, the store we opened doors to in tandem with our launch. There have been others since (as you’ll find out as the week progresses), but you only ever have one first.
North of Colaba, Kala Ghoda contains some of Mumbai’s principal art galleries, incredible historic buildings and some of the city’s best eating (both old and brand new). We chose to build our first store in this historic district, where the narrow streets are lined by distinctive structures built over two centuries. Each houses something we love, from cafés and patisseries to the stunning Knesset Eliyahoo synagogue. The neighbourhood is also just that – a neighbourhood, where proprietors are old friends who pop by each other’s shops when they can, and are always ready to lend a helping hand. #KalaGhoda
