# Things were very different two years ago. We hadn’t launched Nicobar yet, were prepping for a launch party and a fashion show, were shooting our first video, and wording (and then rewording) the first entry in our Journal. Two years later we are a little wiser, a little better dressed, and our homes are looking pretty special as well. This is a longer post than usual but bear with us as we mark our second birthday and we look back, just a little.
Our past collections have drawn inspiration from East Asian lands: China’s chinoiserie, Japan’s kimono silhouette, and the rich watery hues of journeys across the Indian ocean. We’re retracing those steps in a Birthday capsule that’s crafted in lightweight cotton, and revisits and recycles favourite prints, from soft stripe and check to floss-pink embroidery. You’ll find our signature icons embroidered on two-by-two (a wink to our age of course). We turn two today, and this is a birthday treat, from us to you. #thenicobarstory ⚫️⚫️
