ASK ME ABOUT KIDS PLAY FREE!!!
Many of you have seen the Kids Play Free bib worn by jylooper this week at the valsparchamp, so let me shed a little light!
In 2015, I teamed up with haydenechols and the tngolffoundation to find ways to make golf accessible and affordable to kids in my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. That’s when the Scott Stallings Kids Play Free Program was born.
Basically, any junior under the age of 18 can play unlimited golf free of charge at the two par-three courses in town, beverly_parkgc and concordparkgolf. The first year we had a couple hundred rounds played. In 2021 it grew to 7,000 rounds! And we are expanding. Last year we added Bloomfield Links in Murfreesboro and this year we added The Patch in Oak Ridge.
It’s something jwstallings and I take a lot of pride in and are excited to see how big we can grow it in the future!
