My left hamstring has been a bit painful for almost month.. It was nice to be finally able to do this kind of poses during my yoga practice and my hamstring feels fine now.

When you do yoga or other sports there can be different kinds of pain... We all know that we aren't going to improve just by training in our "comfort zone". Everybody who trains hard knows what positive training pain is. It's something natural. But then there is negative pain, which is a warning sign.
❤
If something really hurts it can be a sign of injury or your body telling you that you are over using/stretching a part of your body. We should take this warning seriously and not take any chances. We have to rest and listen to our body.
❤
In yoga there shouldn't be any competition with poses. We don't have to rush ourselves in anything. If a pose feels bad and hurts and you are not maybe ready for it, that's more than OK. Or maybe just this particular day is not good for it. There could be some variations that you can do of that pose?!
❤
I just want to remind that our body is not a machine but a really wise mechanism that tells us something when we feel pain. Yoga is a life time journey and we don't have to hurry or push too much. Things happen when the time is right.
❤
Remember that yoga is not about what poses you can do, it's about how you feel and how it makes you feel on the inside.☺
