“So because there’s incisions on my lower tummy and belly button wearing normal underwear is really uncomfortable because it rubs on the wounds. Also bending forwards hurts especially the first week, so removing a pad/putting one on and also angles to get a tampon in are just awkward!
That and I was quite sore all over especially around that area so having pads chafing or tampons in just made it extra uncomfortable
Being able to wear something soft, gentle and higher waisted like my period pants was great. Especially as I had a period straight away after but I will be wearing them even when I stop bleeding because its more comfortable that the other pants I have!”
