we wanted to learn more about the barriers that stop people getting them, so our very own Fifi called her aunty J, who happens to be a nurse that does smears.
our biggest takeaways?
🍊 they DON’T use a metal speculum anymore
🍊 it doesn’t hurt, though you may feel some pressure
🍊 let’s be real, it would be better not to have to do this as it is slightly uncomfortable - but it takes minutes and is over before you know it
