period products are a necessity, not a luxury... so why are NHS staff going without? 🤔

a leading scottish consultant recently reported that many female doctors and nurses dread being on shift when they're on their period, through fear of bleeding through their scrubs as there period products are not readily available on wards. some staff have resorted to using toilet paper, or cutting up inconstienence pads to create make-shift pads.

we 100% agree that period products are a basic necessity for all bleeders, and should be readily available to everyone where they need them. not only this, but our fantastic NHS staff should not have to worry about bleeding through their uniform as they undertake some of the most difficult tasks imagineable. as a country, we need to do more to support the workers who dedicate themselves to us.
