make 2022 the year you conquer your cycle 🩸✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
to combat the new year frenzy of endless resolutions,
strict health regimens and that addictive go-go-go-
more-is-more mentality - we're easing into 2022 by
moving slowly, intentionally taking stock of where we
are and steering clear of any and all pressure to "be
better." as much as we looove goal setting and the
feeling of a clean, blank slate, there's a tendency around
this time of year to be a bit.intense, this is your
reminder to be gentle with yourself, babe. growth isn't
always linear (we're cyclical beings!), so it's okay and
111% normal to have days where you don't feel like
you're smashing it (lil secret: you are).
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
but - if you wanted to get to know your cycle a lil better, here’s a post to save down and return to, breaking down your cycle into bite sized chunks so you can get to know that beautiful body of yours 🧡
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔮 menstruation: stage one of your cycle, and when your body will be bleeding. make sure you take it slow, listen to your body, and give your body the rest it may need - it’s working bloody hard. (watching 5 hours of selling sunset encouraged)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔮 follicular phase: your body is full of juicy hormones and high levels of oestrogen, leaving u feeling 💯. this is the time when you’ll wanna move your body and utilise your high energy.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔮 ovulatory phase: your body is releasing an egg ready for fertilisation, so your sex drive may get ramped up. we recommend long baths and plenty of self care.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔮 luteal phase: your bod is gearing up for your bleed, so you may feel a lil sleepy, and PMS amps up, leaving you feel not your usual self. yours, hormonally to the rescue here 👏
