whilst it's an iconic line in our fave film, it's not so funny when you realise that an entire generation has been given next to no sex education. so many of us were separated into boys and girls rooms, with boys being taught about erections and wet dreams, whilst girls were taught solely about bleeding and giving birth. female pleasure, contraceptive options, sexual relations in the lgbtq+ community, and so many other vital topics are overlooked and ignored, leaving the majority of us in the wilderness, having to find things out for ourselves.

this leads to serious social stigmas around sex in general, with a huge gap in the education system leaving young people turning online to find the answers they need. whilst there are INCRED online resources now to help, many get their answers from porn and online web chats, which can sometimes be incredibly damaging and misogynistic in their views on sex, particularly when it comes to the role of women in sexual experiences.
