so, why do we say 'people who bleed...people who have periods...human with a uterus?' it's simple - because not all women have periods, and not all people who have periods are women. we're not suggesting all you are is a body part [you're much more special than that], but using this language allows us to include people who are often excluded from these conversations - this includes trans women, trans men, some non-binary people, cisgender women who do not menstruate, post-menopausal women, those who have had hysterectomies... and more. it's never nice to be left out of any conversation, so that's why we aim to keep everyone involved ๐งก
