have you peeked inside your pants lately?
are you keeping tabs on your discharge, looking out for any weird or unfamiliar smells, colours, consistencies? discharge is like a mini report card our bodies send us each day - those in the know can take one look at their knickers and know where they’re at in their cycle, whether their vagina is happy n healthy, or whether something’s amiss.
So when should you go see a doctor about what’s in your knickers? 1) change in colour – if your discharge turns grey, green, yellow, pink, brown, or blood-tinged. 2) you detect an unpleasant smell such as a fishy or rotten smell that might even resemble that of meat that’s going bad (sorry) 3) your discharge changes in consistency, becomes lumpy and/or looks like cottage cheese. 4) there’s a sudden and noticeable increase in the amount of discharge.
Any sudden change related to your period or discharge – even if it seems harmless – is good to get checked out. 5) you’re experiencing itching or soreness, pain peeing, pelvic pain, and bleeding or spotting in between periods or after sex.
take care of yourselves, our fave vagina-having humans 🧡
