Black lives matter.
Firstly - we’re sorry for our delayed action in posting something meaningful and permanent on our instagram grid. We initially planned to stay silent today to allow your feeds to be filled up with more important voices, information, and stories, but after engaging with the conversation online and receiving some incredibly welcomed feedback from members of our community, we now realise this is not the right approach - what’s needed is loud and clear solidarity and support.
We cannot be silent in the face of oppression and injustice. We unequivocally support Black Lives Matter and all activists, organisations, and individuals fighting against institutionalised oppression, police brutality, and systemic racism.
As a company, we have donated to Black Lives Matter (@blklivesmatter) and UK Black Pride (@ukblackpride) and individual members of our team have all made personal contributions to these organisations or others of their choosing including bail funds and memorial funds.
We will be pausing all of our regular content for the rest of this week in order to take the time to seriously evaluate the ways in which we can do better as a company and as individuals. We plan to come back to you at the end of this week with a plan for how we are going to help fight against systemic racism in the long-term - both within ohne and within the wider world.
We know we have a lot to learn. We’ve not done enough as a brand to support black communities and black individuals year-round. Consider this our pledge to do better.
