let’s talk cycle tracking. 🩸🩸 if you’re feeling a little alienated from your body, a little confused about why you feel off at times, or experience particularly difficult periods that you might want to chat to a doctor about, keeping a low-effort log of your symptoms for even just 2-3 cycles can really help. here are some quick tips for getting started: 🧡 start the first day of your period. this will be day one of your cycle and the cycle resets to day 1 when your period pops up again. 🧡 pick five-ish symptoms to you to track. if you’re not sure, we recommend general mood, sex drive, physical energy, uterus pain, and breast tenderness. rate each on a scale of 1-5 each day or log them in note-form. as you track you might find other symptoms (bloating or headaches) become relevant, and you can go ahead and include them.
🧡 at the end of each cycle, glance back over your notes and make a mental or physical note of some of the trends - e.g. ‘my period pains started four days before my period, my appetite is low at the beginning of my cycle but high at the end, my sex drive sky-rockets on day 12, etc’
