We’re pretty sure our great grandchildren’s grandchildren aren’t too excited about meeting our old period products. (Although, you never know, their ludicrous ingredients might be marvelled at in museums years from now until they eventually break down 500 years later.) We also reckon that our friends in the ocean are probably tired of gobbling up plastic applicators and non-biodegradable tampons too. With 70% of deep sea creatures nibbling on plastic, it’s pretty bewildering that 51 plastic based period products still make their way to every mile of our British beaches.
