Day to day, fat gets a pretty bad name but we’re here to sing its praises for a moment. A women’s hips, thighs and butt have extra adipose tissue and it’s this wonderfully complex fat tissue that is thought to be protective against certain diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. The gluteofemoral fat also is a resource to be called upon after bringing a baby into the world to help us through breastfeeding. Yet, lots of us gals will still talk about this fat as ‘stubborn’. Time to take a turn and start embracing your healthy squidge.
