As we approach one of the most widely celebrated food holidays, we've partnered with @barnana to bring awareness to the issue of food waste in the United States.
Over 40% of all food in the United States is wasted, which is equivalent to going to the grocery store, buying 5 bags full of groceries and throwing away 2 of those bags between leaving the store and walking to your car.
@barnana focuses on sustainability in food waste by upcycling fresh bananas that are rejected by grocery stores (that's over 85 million bananas that would otherwise go to waste) and making them into delicious, better-for-you snacks. At OLIPOP, we focus on reducing waste by only using aluminum cans, which are 100% recyclable.
