Humans have used honey 🍯 as a food and medicine for thousands of years. This golden nectar, which is food for humans and bees 🐝 alike, is rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and enzymes.
We teamed up with herbal duo Sarah and Summer of @thekosmickitchen to teach our community how to infuse honey with the same plants and herbs found in every can of OLIPOP.
Infusing honey with herbs, like marshmallow root, calendula flowers, and ginger is an easy way to incorporate gut-supportive herbs into your everyday routine.
Making an herbal honey or melita, can be as simple as mixing your favorite powdered herbs like adaptogens (stress-relieving power plants that help bring balance to the entire body) and spices into your honey. Use a teaspoon or two stirred into hot water and you essentially have an instant herbal elixir or use as you would to sweeten salad dressings, drizzled over roasted vegetables or mixed into seed butter for a quick snack.
